Pine Tar Oil – the wood oil that gives your terrace a longer life
Pine Tar Oil – a wood oil from the forest
Is there a more beautiful and natural material than wood? Wood is a living material, affected by everything that happens around it. Sun, wind, rain – but also, for example, insects and rot fungi are things that affect wood both on the surface and deep down.
All this can be avoided if you treat the wood with the right wood oil. There are many wood oils to choose from. Pine Tar Oil from Auson brings the wood’s own protective properties back to your facade or patio. That’s because our Pine Tar Oil is a natural product made from real wood tar, straight from the forest. The substances naturally found in wood, such as terpenes and resin, are also present in our Pine Tar Oil. This is because we make Pine Tar Oil from tar extracted from pine. Pine Tar Oil thus increases the life of the wood by returning the wood’s own preservatives.
A natural wood oil
Pine Tar Oil from Auson is a thin-flowing wood oil based on Genuine Wood Tar and Balsam Turpentine. Wood tar is nature’s own wood protection and consists of resin and terpenes, among other components. Resin, also called rosin, is the tree’s natural way of protecting itself against microorganisms and healing damage. The terpenes accelerate drying.
Pine Tar Oil penetrates deep into the wood and prevents it from drying out or cracking. Additionally, the pine tar oil provides effective protection against water penetration and prevents the wood from deteriorating.
A beautiful and sustainable result
When you apply tar oil, the color is dark at first. The darkness disappears as the UV rays break down the tar on the surface. It can take up to a few months for the entire surface to return to the color of the wood before the application. The result is both durable – and according to most people, very beautiful. The tar oil provides durable protection and a stylish surface with a clearly preserved wood pattern.
No discolored decks
A discolored terrace or deck is no fun. Auson Pine Tar Oil prevents the wood from drying out and cracking, which is when it starts absorbing water. Pine Tar Oil protects the wood by replenishing its own, natural components. The deck stays beautiful for a long time, and treatment is usually only needed every 6-8 years depending on the area of use. For example, a deck is more exposed than a facade. Maintenance intervals become longer with each coat of tar, as each coat provides increased protection. The Pine Tar Oil also works excellently on facades, fences, untreated wooden furniture, and piers.
