– We ourselves fell in love with Svarttjära and will definitely use it more, says Johan Olsson.
Even black-tarred roof
It was while working on a modern 260-square-meter house in Mölndal that Olsson Lyckefors discovered black tar. They were looking for a paint that could truly withstand the elements – especially since the roof was also to be painted.
– We also became fond of the incredibly beautiful color that highlights the structure of the wood. For those of us who care about the materials we use, it also feels good that it is nature’s own paint, says Johan, who was the main person responsible for the house project.
Abstract and playful
The architectural style is abstract and playful, and the end result was a real dream home for Farshad, Arlena, and their two children. The house’s high elevation and roof angle of 45 degrees make the house really stand out in the residential area with many older houses. Inside, the house has unique details such as a straight staircase in perforated sheet metal and a special solution that magically hides the TV in the living room.
