A gray mountain cabin that brings back memories
In the middle of the famous ski resort of Kittelfjäll in Västerbotten, Lisa Lind has a charming log cabin that she built herself from her father’s sketches. Painting the house with Tar Vitriol was an obvious choice after her sister Maja used it for her log cabin right next door.
Lisa emphasizes that the paint was pleasant and easy to paint with, that the scent evoked memories and that the color blends into the beautiful mountain environment. For Lisa, the protective properties of the tar vitriol were also important when choosing the color. “It felt good when the gray paint soaked into the wood to provide good protection. At the same time, you can clearly see the character of the wood and the beautiful color changes in different lights. Neighbors, friends and acquaintances emphasize above all that the house feels unique, that the color blends so nicely into the mountain nature and that the color fits the house.
