The Chalmers unions’ red-tarred country house
Not all student associations have a “student union house in the country”. But in Härryda outside Gothenburg, Chalmers has a new architect-designed and red-tarred student union house with a lake view and amidst beautiful pine trees.
The house, which is 495 square meters in size, is called “Storstugan” and is a place for both parties, conferences and socializing in a scenic and lovely environment. At the house there is also a sauna and a sports cabin that has existed since the 60s.
The student union building was completed in 2016 and is the result of generous contributions and donations from individuals, organizations and companies. The Gothenburg-based architectural firm Inobi is behind the beautiful building.
