Mediterranean feeling on Gotland
The house on eastern Gotland is built on rocky ground with a low windswept pine forest as the nearest neighbor. You can smell the sea sweeping over the island. The house was built in 2016 and then painted twice with Tar Vitriol. In 2017, a terrace was added and in 2018 the garden was landscaped with a beautiful limestone path to the house.
Stefan’s partner Karin discovered Tar Vitriol online when they were learning about different paint options.
We chose Tar Vitriol because the light gray color would go in tone with the landscape around the house and in combination with the good impregnation effect.
Stefan also advises to paint the panel before it is put up as the paint is thin, it is also important to protect the ground underneath where you paint, as well as to dress in sacrificial clothing and to use gloves.
Isn’t it incredibly beautiful with the Mediterranean-inspired blue lining boards and the door that makes you dream away to the island world of Greece!
