New sea rescue station in Fjällbacka
The sea rescue station in Fjällbacka was founded in 1969 and today has 25 volunteer sea rescuers and 3 boats. During a year, the volunteer sea rescuers at RS Fjällbacka perform about 200 missions.
After 50 years of service, the station in Fjällbacka in Bohuslän needed new premises and a completely new, larger two-storey station building was built in Fjällbacka harbor and painted with red tar.
The new station house will provide the Sea Rescue Service with a training room, equipment storage, hygiene facilities, rest rooms and socializing opportunities. The investment is supported by many donations and gifts.
