Tranås preschool
Sustainable preschool with the forest as a neighbor
Skogsgläntan is a newly built preschool in Tranås. As the name suggests, the preschool is close to the forest, and the vision was to build it in harmony with its surroundings using materials that are as natural as possible. This is where Auson comes in. To blend in with the environment, the nursery has been painted with our tar vitriol. The actual construction was carried out by Tranåsbostäder, where Göran Lorentzi is the construction manager:
– When we started working on the project five years ago, this was a completely deserted area. But at the same time, it is a strategic location that connects several neighborhoods. A stone’s throw from Svartån and with the forest right next door, we have now built a preschool with six departments.
The architect, Lennart Göransson of Tranark, came up with a proposal with a sedum roof and horizontal wooden panels. The color choice fell on tar vitriol instead of iron vitriol to really purify the natural. The result is a preschool that blends into its surroundings.
– “We are very pleased with the color and have received a lot of praise for it. It will be exciting to see how the tar vitriol changes over time,” concludes Göran Lorentzi.
We at Auson are also pleased that our tar vitriol is so highly appreciated. It is worth it. Auson products are available at selected suppliers near you.
