Winners of the Tarmony competition
Lucky tar game – winner announced in this year’s Tar Games competition
The 2018 winner of Auson’s Tjärlekstävling has now been announced. The prize goes to the Ida Anastasio family and their house in Borlänge. We’ll let Ida tell you herself. “We moved into our house in 2016. It’s made of loose timber, and we got it primed once from the factory. We first thought about iron vitriol, but googled around and fell head over heels for tar vitriol.
We live close to nature with a horse paddock as our nearest neighbor, and the tar vitriol fits perfectly into the surroundings. The base coat was already in place. We painted the rest ourselves, which took some time with two small children in the family, but the white tar is an easy paint to work with. That, together with the fact that it provides good wood protection and above all that it looks so good, means that we are really very happy. It’s so nice that it lightens over time and still maintains a beautiful shade. We get a lot of compliments on the tar vitriol!”
Congratulations, we at Auson say. We think you’ve done a fantastic job with our tar vitriol.
