Balsam turpentine
Genuine balsam turpentine is a biodegradable solvent used to dilute tar and linseed oil paints. It also dissolves grease and dirt from surfaces to be painted. Balsam turpentine has a high cleaning and disinfecting effect and is free of water and precipitates.
Auson Balsam Turpentine, like tar, contains many components that wood needs for the best protection. An old recipe for wood coating is one third each of balsam turpentine, wood tar and boiled or raw linseed oil.
