Black-brown Tar
Auson Black-Brown Tar contains both black and brown pigment, which gives a softer and warmer tone than the deep Black Tar. We call Black-Brown “the architect’s choice,” and it’s easy to see why. It gives the facade a sophisticated look, while maintaining a natural and harmonious impression. Be inspired by Villa Timmerman in Askim. You can use Auson Black-Brown Tar on untreated wood and on wood that has previously been treated with distemper paint, tar, or ferrous sulfate.
As our Tar Products penetrate the wood, they carry the pigment with them. This provides a durable color that not only protects the wood against weather and wind, but also preserves its natural character. The surface becomes hard-wearing and the color stays where it should. Our Tar Products counteract drying and cracking by being both water-resistant and creating a flexible surface that can move in pace with the wood’s natural expansion. They protect the wood from moisture and temperature changes, which reduces the risk of cracks. Our tar also provides protection against UV radiation that can dry out the wood.
You never need to prime when you choose any of our products. Our Tar Products provide a result that lasts a long time, 6-10 years depending on the area of use. Maintenance intervals become longer with each coat of tar, as each coat provides increased protection.
